This past weekend we finally made it into Boston. Boston is significantly cleaner and safer than New York, the buildings are prettier and the people are nicer. It was a fabulous weekend away. The first day we walked along the Charles River, toured the Harvard campus, visited Burdicks Chocolates (the best chocolate treats in town) and toured Fenway. The second day we walked the freedom trail and learned about Boston's role in the American Revolution and ate fantastic Italian in Boston's North End. We saw Paul Revere's house, the Old North Church, the Old South Meeting House, toured the USS Constitution, and saw many other significant sites in American history. The final day we had a boat tour of the Charles river and visited Mount Auburn Cemetary, a beautiful garden cemetary with a stone tower you can climb up and see the surrounding area for miles. We have both agreed...if we move back east for an East Coast city it will be to Boston!
